When Andreas Heydercoper dies, his children travel to Curaçao. The family of Andreas exists of Elise and the sons Stijn and Rolf. The bond between the three children has never been strong and they meet each other after a lot of years on sunny island when their father Andreas dies. Andreas leaves behind a rich family company. The perfectionist Stijn has been persuaded of it, he is entitled to most of the inheritance. He has worked his life in service of his fathers company. Stijn assumes blindly that he will be the president-director after dying the old Heydecoper. His sister Elise is a successful business woman and she also thinks she can be the only suitable person to succeed her father. Misfit Rolf is a bit less ambitious and comes to Curaçao with great aversion. He wants leave the island as soon as possible.
