Exploring Kaman is where NBA millionaire Chris Kaman and his rag-tag team of friends and family are on the hunt for fishing's greatest prize: the elusive blue marlin! Kaman and his pals hop on to a boat and quickly take off in search of this treasure. But there's one problem: none of them really planned for the trip. Now, Kaman and his crew must face a threat far greater than the ocean: getting on each other's nerves!
Chris and his entourage embark with high hopes! Their goal? To catch the elusive blue marlin - sport fishing's most sought-after game fish. Their problem? They have no clue what they're doing. And the moment they hit the Pacific seas, dysfunction, vomit, and attitude threatens their trip.
The Sasquatch leaves Cabo San Lucas. The first fish of the trip is a 20 lb. tuna and takes three of Chris' buddies to get in the boat. It raises the question: Are they really going to be able to reel in a 1,000 lb. marlin? Meanwhile, Ben tries to ask out a local señorita to disastrous results.
John feels threatened by Scully's angling skills and a jealousy begins to fester. Chris is almost halfway through his trip and knows his time to catch a blue marlin is running out. He contemplates bringing down another first mate to replace John.
It's a rough day on the ocean and seasickness is running rampant. John learns that the toilet is clogged and chews everyone out. After missing a lot more fish, Chris calls together a secret meeting and decides to bring down Louie, a professional first mate. But how will he tell John without losing his friendship?
New first mate Louie arrives and immediately Chris starts hooking into a lot more fish. John's anger mounts and Chris threatens to send him home.
With only a few days left, friendships are in jeopardy and Chris' time to catch a blue marlin is running out.
