Kundali

Kundali means horoscope. To many, a Kundali dictates important events in their lives.

Kundali also has a number of other meanings, namely, a peacock, a serpent, a ring, an orbital moment, each explaining and reflecting the different 'rasas' of life, which are woven into our story.

In a quirk of fate, our protagonists, two inseparable sisters, get married into the same household.

Dictated by their horoscopes, the older sister marries the younger brother and the younger sister marries the older brother.

Initially, the sisters are reluctant but finally accept it as their fate. Both sisters have a very strong bond with the elder sister who is a mother figure and the younger sister who worships the ground she walks on.

The kundali then begins to mould itself to be a serpent... The two sisters enter their new family, full of dreams and expectations.

Nirmala, their mother-in-law, instigated by Dai Maa develops a misconception that if she lets the sisters remain sisters, then she will loose control over her household.

Nirmala knows that the bond between the two sisters is very strong and she plots to create a rift between them between them by changing their relationship from sisters to sisters-in-law.

Will Nirmala be victorious? Will she be able to weaken the bond that the sisters have? Will the household remain undivided? These questions and more will be answered every week on KUNDALI.
