Filling out Leah's household are her opinionated mother, Vicki; eccentric stepfather, George; down-to-earth sister Shannon; and Sofia's British nanny.
Leah and her family try group therapy to help navigate life after Scientology. Nanny Trish bravely tackles her final round of chemotherapy and Leah rallies to keep her spirits up.
With the help of Chelsea Handler, Leah coaches her assistant Raffy on his dating skills when he lands a surprise date. After a makeover, a little waxing, and some blunt tips from Chelsea and Leah on talking to women; will Raffy's date be a success?
Leah encourages mom Vicki to cross something off her bucket list - skydive! Trish and Angelo decide to join her, while the whole family goes to cheer them on. The night before, perhaps driven by the danger at hand, Angelo tries his hardest to seduce Leah.
Leah finds out Angelo made a bad commercial for the family diner and he decides to film a new one; Leah tries auditioning for voice-over work and the results are hilarious.
Leah's stepfather, George, is turning 72 and is due for a colonoscopy; Leah and her family plan a memorable surprise birthday party, but it does not go quite as planned.
When the family's beloved dog, Blue, passes away, everyone is in mourning. Leah plans a memorial service for him, and Sofia decides to open a lemonade stand to raise money for a dog rescue charity.
When Leah tells Angelo she wants to make renovations to their home, things quickly escalate and they may end up buying a new house, instead! Leah tries to put Shannon's wild hypochondria to rest by convincing her sister to see a doctor.
Leah agrees to record a podcast with her longtime friend, Michelle Visage, even thought she doesn't fully understand what a podcast is! Meanwhile, the entire Remini family plans a night of competitive bowling, but things quickly get out of hand.
When Sofia tells Leah she wishes they had a more "traditional" home life, Leah goes all out and plans a special evening for the entire family. Vicki wants to crash Shannon and her friends' girls night out, but her outrageous antics always raise eyebrows!
Tony Dovolani makes a surprise appearance when Vicki challenges Leah to a dance-off at his studio. Angelo's son brings his newborn to the house for the first time, with Leah realizing she may now be known as "Grandma"!
When Leah treats Sofia and her friends to a day of shopping, she quickly realizes how exhausting three pre-teen girls can be! After Shannon receives negative reviews at the restaurant, the family decides how to handle it.
Leah wants to lose weight, and she challenges the women plus Raffy to see who can burn off the most fat. Or, in Leah's case, who can FREEZE off the most fat! To get away from the stressed out dieters, Sofia enjoys a very girly outing with Angelo and Lou.
Angelo surprises Leah with big ideas to redecorate their home, including a photo shoot to take new family portraits. However nothing goes as planned! Sofia's excited to update her bedroom, but her parents may not be ready for their little girl to grow up.
Leah struggles to accept that her daughter is growing up when Sofia wants to cross off two major items on her "living bucket list." As the entire family anxiously awaits to hear if Trish is cancer-free, Vicki has a life-changing meeting with a Medium.
