Sofia's diary UK

“Sofia's diary UK” is a 3-minute long continuing drama series that began on the Internet. It debuted on the networking Internet website Bebo on 17 March 2008. On 28 April it was picked up by Channel Five’s new Digital only channel titled Fiver. It airs 3-minute long episodes at 4:55 PM weekdays and then airs a 30-min long episode every other weekend. Channel Five has acquired the rights to the show from Sony Television Pictures International. Originally a version of Sofia’s diary aired in Portugal in 2003. Sofia’s diary is about a 17-year-old girl who is played by 21 year-old actress Rachel Hyde-Harvey.

Sofia is currently living with her dad, stepmother, stepsister and stepbrother who is known as a “Devil Child”. Sofia discovers her boyfriend kissing her stepsister Trisha and he quickly becomes her ex-boyfriend. She plans a revenge on her now ex-boyfriend but it backfires and she accidentally sets her chemistry lab on fire. She is suspended from school because of the fire and her mother finds ecstasy pills in her bedroom and sends her off to London to live with her dad. The story then revolves around her stepfamily and her best friend Sean.
