The 2008 Summer Olympics, also known as Beijing 2008: Games of the XXIX Olympiad will be seen worldwide on 100's of TV networks in the US it will be seen on NBC. This every 4 year sports spectacular will air 7 days a week for 17 straight days on many of NBC's affiliate networks as well as on NBC itself. The opening ceremonies will be seen live on Friday night, 08-08-08. This time The 2008 Summer Olympics is being broadcast not only via tape but also many live events straight from Beijing, China. The theme of this year’s Summer Olympics is “One World One Dream”. The official opening ceremonies will air live in the U.S. on NBC on Friday night, August 8th. The closing ceremonies will air on NBC on Sunday night, August 24th.

The 2008 Summer Olympics will be the first to be produced and broadcast entirely in high definition television, and will likely garner upwards of 4 billion viewers worldwide.
