not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Edwin Edwards, now 86 years old and still dubbed the "King of Louisiana," shocked the state (and his family) when he married Trina Grimes Scott, a woman 50 years his junior. They became pen pals while Edwin was serving an 8 1/2 year prison sentence for bribery and extortion - charges stemming from his tenure as Governor of Louisiana - and married when Edwin was released. This colorful couple heads a newly combined family comprised of Edwin's daughters: Anna, a 63-year-old, four-time divorcée and Victoria, a seen-it-all former performer who is never far from her electronic cigarette, as well as Trina's sons from a previous marriage, 16-year-old Logan and 14-year-old Trevor.
Trina settles into her role as former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards' new wife; Trina plans a big surprise for her husband's 85th birthday; the newly married couple ruffle family feathers.
Edwin and Trina face the media; a battle erupts for control of the household; Trina's 62-year-old stepdaughter re-enters the dating scene.
Trina plans a party for her 60-year-old stepdaughters while she makes preparations for her new baby; Taylor asks Trina for another favor.
Edwin plans his will and funeral, despite his family's objections; Victoria returns to the stage; Trina receives shocking baby gifts from her stepdaughters.
Trina throws a party where the gender of her baby will be revealed; Trina's stepdaughter brings her sister along on a second date; Edwin teaches technology-minded Trevor a thing or two about the "old ways."
Trina seeks help from Edwin's former wife in dealing with her conflict with Victoria; Trina's pregnancy cravings drive Edwin to distraction; an extravagant New Orleans social event attracts wild guests.
Trina is excited by her appearance on the cover of a local magazine, while her family is less than enthused; Edwin plans a family road trip to celebrate his release from parole.
Trina goes into early labor; the elderly stepdaughters have different reactions to their new baby sibling; Edwin takes an old-school approach to parenting.
