TASS Is Authorized to Declare... (Russian: ТАСС уполномочен заявить...) is a 1984 Soviet film directed by Vladimir Fokin based on a novel with the same name by Yulian Semyonov, also the author of 17 Moments of Spring. '17 Moments' star Vyacheslav Tikhonov played the central role of the KGB General in the film.

A spy Trianon in Moscow is sending information to the CIA about the Soviet supplies to the fictional state of Nagonia. The KGB neutralizes him.
At the same time in Nagonia, Soviet agent Slavin discredits Glabb thus preventing the coup d'etat in a capital of Luisburg by Ogano against George Grisso, the president of Nagonia.
