This Australian series revolves around Detective Jack Kempson. Justice is his creed. With as much energy as 30 years before joining the police he keeps hunting for criminals. The confidence in the morality of others is greatly decreased in that period. He looked the other way as his colleagues used the dubious methods where the end justifies the means is sanctified. His friends in the police have helped him survive some serious personal problems, but suddenly he has had it. Recently he has ratted on some corrupt colleagues and as punishment he is now relegated to the archives. There he is supervisor of entering data into the computer Trace Crime. The new technology can be used to solve old cases, and solving crimes is what he likes best. In each case he wants to prove something to himself, to his superiors or to the victims. Nobody will ever be safe from the consequences of committing an offense.
