Boks

Maarten Spanjer is Detective Boks, headstrong and petulant! He works in District 3, Lijbaansgracht office, a stone's throw from the Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein. Boks is not your typical detective. He suffers from chronic insomnia and is therefore often alone in the office at night to commit himself to serious crimes. Or he can be found in the launderette / snack bar of his friend Mohammed.

Boks lives in a canal house that he has inherited, but he's not allowed to change anything. His favorite place in the house is the garage where his true love is: a fifty year old Mercedes, the only place where he can fall asleep undisturbed.
