Calla Lily

“Calla Lily” was a daily dramatic soap opera called a “Teleserye” in the Philippines. This series starred the outstanding child actress “Sharlene San Pedro” in a dual role. Sharlene played her own twin sisters named “Calla and Lily” whose father is a carpenter is a member of the OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) in Taiwan. The story takes place in the small fishing village of Batangas a province of the Philippines located in the southwestern part of Luzon in the Calabarzon region. The twins are as different as day and night as Calla is very outspoken and always getting into trouble. Lilly is very shy and timid and never gets into any mischief. Their Father Dodie played by actor “Gerald Madrid” takes care of the girls in the Philippines while his wife Sari played by actress “Ana Roces” is trying to make a living for the family working in Taiwan as a OFW. While working and living in Taiwan Sari meets a very handsome businessman named Ramil played by actor “Yul Servo” and they have an affair.
