The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will meet in the newly created Celebration Bowl postseason game on Dec. 19, 2015, pitting the conference champion from these two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). The game will be played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, on an ESPN network. The Celebration Bowl is committed to providing the champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and the Southwestern Athletic Conference, and their alumni, fans and sponsors a first-class bowl experience while continuing to celebrate the legacy, values and traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Events surrounding the game will include a kickoff luncheon, VIP event, community outreach and family events.

The Tigers (11-1) face the Bulldogs (6-5) in the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta. Jackson State won 11 games for the first time in school history under the guidance of former NFL star Deion Sanders. South Carolina State is 6-7 all-time in bowl games.

S2022E1 - 2022 Celebration Bowl: Jackson State vs. North Carolina Central

The Tigers (12-0) meet the Eagles (9-2) in the Celebration Bowl. Jackson State topped Southern 43-24 to claim the Southwestern Athletic Conference title Dec. 3. Jackson State's Deion Sanders was announced as Colorado's new head coach that night.

S2023E1 - 2023 Celebration Bowl: Howard Bison vs. Florida A&M Rattlers

From the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Bison line up with the Rattlers in the Celebration Bowl. On Nov. 18, Howard held off Beltway rival Morgan State to capture the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference crown. Florida A&M, three-time member of the MEAC, won 10 in a row to seize the SWAC.
