Alternative sports events and cutting-edge entertainment from around the world are on the agenda when "Core Culture" USA, an ambitious weekly television venture devoted entirely to alternative sports and lifestyles, makes its official debut on Saturday, April 22 11:00AM-12:00PM ET/PT on USA Network.

This aggressive new series, a fast-moving mix of sports, music and leisure activities, will give viewers a close-up look at many of the world’s leading alternative sports competitions, through the eyes of the athletes who push their competitive energies to new limits. The show’s premiere will have a decidedly snowboarding focus. In addition to presenting snowboarding action from the “Swatch World Boardercross Tour” and the “Quervo Quarter Pipe Contest,” the show will profile Michelle Taggart, one of the nation’s most influential female professional snowboarders, and Marc Schultz, the American ISF Boardercross leader. The Cybertech segment will allow viewers to experience the thrills of the Cool Boarders 4 virtual reality game, which duplicates the moves and tricks of the top professional snowboarders. Other features on the April 29 premiere include a look at the personalities and music of the band “Common Sense” and a profile of extreme motocross filmmaker Troy Adamitis.
