Destination Craft with Jim West is a ground breaking new series airing on PBS and public television stations across the nation. This show brings TRAVEL + CRAFTS together in a unique and entertaining way and takes the concept of "craft television" to an entirely new level. Throughout the 13-part series, West introduces viewers to exotic and beautiful countries across the globe, showcasing master indigenous artists in both workshop and demonstrations. Season One of the series highlights destinations across the planet, where artisans who are masters at various crafts, share their passion with our host and viewing audience. We travel with a group of crafters who represent all levels of artistic abilities themselves, and through their eyes we learn and see how various crafts are made in a step by step process. The show also features masterful demonstrations from artisans who put their heart and souls into a particular craft as we see and feel how they are made. Destination Craft with Jim West is entertaining, informative, cultural, educational, fascinating, and heart-warming, and viewers are transported to not only a country, but taken on a journey of discovery. S1E11 - Switzerland

Jim West travels to Zurich and Lucerne, Switzerland, where master artisans demonstrate how to craft the perfect Alp Horn, make Swiss cheese in a family farmhouse, craft a traditional cheese fondue, and discover bobbin lace making. Jim becomes cuckoo for cuckoo clocks, crafts honey with a master beekeeper and enjoys the process of Swiss chocolate making.

S1E12 - Nepal

Jim West travels to Nepal and the extraordinary Kathmandu Valley, where master artisans teach paper and clay mask making, creating felted balls for clothes dryers, and crafting an extraordinary singing bowl. Jim also participates in Nepalese paper making and learns about traditional wood carving. He watches monks make sand mandala's in a Buddhist temple, and enjoys a cooking lesson from a special group of ladies.

S1E13 - Christmas Crafts of Austria & Germany

In the Season 1 finale, Jim West travels to Austria and Bavaria, where he visits the Christmas market in Salzburg, learns the mechanics of a three-year-old Glockenspiel, crafts the perfect pair of lederhosen, and makes homemade apple strudel with a master chef. He also learns how to create hand blown glass ornaments. Jim participates in a woodcarving workshop, learns how to make a holiday mulled wine, and takes a tour of a Christmas toy museum.
