Difference Of Opinion

In Difference of Opinion Jeff McMullen and a panel of free thinkers exchange a range of views and opinions on the biggest challenges facing Australia today.

In front of a lively studio audience each program tackles a major topic from the global issues of terrorism and climate change to national problems such as health care, housing and how best to educate our children.

At the heart of the program is a panel of four or five eminent people, a vibrant mix of ideas and opinion. Jeff McMullen has the pivotal role, guiding viewers through the program, facilitating the debate and challenging panellists and audience when appropriate. McMullen is the ideal mediator for Difference of Opinion. He has an unrivalled reputation as a journalist of ability, integrity and authority.

Where appropriate video or news footage is used to illustrate the issue for discussion and the studio audience is given an opportunity to quiz panellists and make brief comments.

We encourage viewers to post their comments on the subjects discussed and continue the debate after the program has gone to air.

Finally, Difference of Opinion will have its own in-house cartoonist - Warren Brown - who will produce a series of cartoons satirising the topics during the course of the program.
