Dinner and a Movie

Release July 2, 2021, during a televised World Cup soccer game, time-traveling soldiers from the year 2051 appear on the field with an urgent message for the planet: Thirty years from now, mankind will lose a global war against a terrifying alien species unless thousands of citizens from the present are transported forward in time to join the fight. Among those reluctantly drafted is high school science teacher and devoted dad Dan Forester (Chris Pratt), who is forced to leave his wife Emmy (Betty Gilpin), their young daughter Muri (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), and his estranged father James (J.K. Simmons) behind. 

Sent to a post-apocalyptic Miami Beach on a perilous search-and-rescue mission, Dan and fellow draftees Charlie (Sam Richardson), Dorian (Edwin Hodge), Norah (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and Cowan (Mike Mitchell) battle the nightmarish extraterrestrials known as "white spikes." Lightning-fast and armed with tentacles, multiple battle-scarred limbs and mouths filled with rotting teeth, the ravenous creatures slaughter most of the new recruits. But with the help of a brilliant military scientist code-named Romeo Command (Yvonne Strahovski), a wounded Dan and his comrades carry on the fight to save mankind.

Released June 22, 2018, in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," three years after the Jurassic World theme park's destruction, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to Isla Nublar to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from an active volcano. They uncover a conspiracy that threatens the dinosaurs and the natural order of the planet. Claire recruits Owen to help save the dinosaurs from the impending volcanic eruption. They are joined by a mercenary team and a young girl named Maisie Lockwood. The mission reveals ulterior motives, including plans to weaponize the dinosaurs. The team faces various challenges, including new dinosaur breeds and a conspiracy involving the auctioning of dinosaurs. In the end, the dinosaurs are freed, leading to a new reality where humans and dinosaurs must coexist. The film concludes with the dinosaurs roaming freely in urban areas, setting the stage for future conflicts.
