TV Series Černí baroni is based on a movie of the same name from 1992. A writer has inspired also by a book of Miroslav Švandrlík called Černí baroni aneb Válčili jsme za Čepičky. He mainly took unused parts of this book that are not in a movie in order to make, with a director, several comedic episodes that describes a bad atmosphere of totalitarian regime in Czechoslovakia in 50's.
