Far From the Tree

Far From the Tree is a character-based thriller focusing on the family of a terrorist. It will concentrate on the family members whose lives are turned upside down when their eldest son is involved in a large-scale eco-terrorism attack. The show centers on the parents and siblings of the eco-terrorist as they deal with the FBI, media and community at large, all while unraveling the complex mystery of how and why one of their own became so radicalized.

The project comes from Switched at Birth executive producer Becky Hartman Edwards and Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer. Hartman Edwards (Parenthood, The Larry Sanders Show, Sex and the City, American Dreams) will pen the script and executive produce the drama alongside Fleischer for 20th Century Fox Television.
