Fiori sopra l'inferno - I casi di Teresa Battaglia

A third victim - pub owner Dario Turchi - convinces commissioner Battaglia that a serial killer is behind the murders. As a disturbing connection between the victims comes to light, the investigation leads to a dangerous suspect. Mauro Degano, a local journalist, become increasingly insistent in pursuing the serial kille case. Meanwhile, accusations from Sebastiano Corsi, Teresa's ex-husband, force the Commissioner to confront her own troubled past.

The serial killer strikes again, targeting doctor Giulio Neri at the Policlinico. As the investigation leads Commissioner Battaglia and her team to a new suspect, she must grapple with her own illness and painful memories. Meanwhile, Degano is trying to solve the case before the police does, but another death opens up disturbing possibilities.

Degano's death leads commissioner Battaglia and her team to a disturbing discovery inside the Basilica in Aquileia, which appears to reveal the serial killer's master plan. As a new potential target emerges while investigating Dr. Neri, the investigation zeroes in on a suspect linked to all the victims.

Commissioner Battaglia and her team track down the serial killer before he could hurt anyone else, but his arrest is only the beginning of an intense psychological duel. During the interrogations, the man appears to know the commissioner's deepest vulnerabilities, forcing her to confront painful wounds from her past. The case however is far from over.
