Before Lee Soo became a king, he was an ordinary blacksmith in the countryside. He life suddenly changed at the age of 23. This was when Lee Soo became the King of Joseon. Meanwhile, Lee Soo's first love is Gae-Ddong. He loved her before he took the throne. King Lee Soo wants to marry Gae Ddong, but, because of her humble background, it is virtually impossible. To marry Gae-Ddong, Lee Soo hires the Flower Crew Matchmaking Agency. The agency consists of 3 handsome men: Ma Hoon, Do Joon and Ko Young Soo, and they are the best matchmaking agency in Joseon. King Lee Soo asks the Flower Crew to make Gae Ddong a noble woman.

S1E14 - The Return
Gae Ttong is furious about Soo and Hoon's deceit about her marriage and declares that she no longer wants to live as a noble lady. However, Moon Seok visits her out of the blue and tells her that many people's lives depend on her becoming the queen. After spending a beautiful day with Hoon, Gae Ttong prepares to say goodbye.

Gae Ttong goes to the second queen selection process with tears in her eyes. She faces an obstacle when the astrologist says that she has the fortune of the dead. Meanwhile, Soo discovers the Chief State Councillor's scheme and intervenes. Finally, the Second State Councillor drags Gae Ttong's brother Kang and Young Soo in for an interrogation.

The Chief and Second State Councillors join hands and plot to commit treason. Meanwhile, the Chief State Councillor kidnaps Gae Ttong in hopes of making Hoon take his side as Young Soo is taken prisoner by the Second State Councillor. Joon uses all his resources to find out where the two are being kept.
