This is the sequel of the original Gunslinger Girl anime that was broadcasted in 2003. This sequel begins with an investigation by the Social Welfare Agency into the disappearance of an operative, and their finds take them to their rival, the Five Republics. Triela, a well trained assassin infiltrates the organization, but things do not turn out the way she hoped.
