Three Wellington flatmates try to figure out life in their 20s - Flo wants to be a poet, Dee wants to have a good time, and Sadie wants to be perfect. But they seem to be getting in each other's way.

Sadie finds out some confronting truths from boyfriend Djared, while an enamoured Elijah tries to match Dee's wild behaviour. Flo starts stealing poetry ideas to meet her publishing deadline.

Flo is upset when her mother interferes and Emily gives her poetry some feedback. Sadie falls behind in her thesis and offends her protege. Dee hits up the welfare office for some much-needed funds.

Flo is confronted by Emily about her poetry inspiration sources, while Sadie pulls an all-nighter to complete her thesis. Dee hooks up with half of Wellington before tragedy strikes the flat.
