Help on the Homefront visits five armed services families who need assistance while their spouses serve overseas. Gianna Childers and her five children need a privacy fence, a children's playset and backyard landscaping before their husband and Dad, Sgt. David Childers, returns. James Jarrell served in the Gulf war, and now his wife, Malaya, is deployed overseas while James cares for their three kids. DIY tackles their kitchen remodel: a new cooking island, flooring and fresh paint. The war has kept newlyweds Heather and Pfc J. Colin Hill apart, so DIY took her "honey do" list and repaired windows and faulty door locks, performed auto maintenance and several other tasks. Each step is explained by hosts Ed Del Grande, Jay Baker and Scott Branscom. Master mechanic Bruce Bonebrake also gives the family auto some tender loving care. No need to fret over that project lists...there's Help on the Homefront! (Source: DIY)
