Het Liegebeest

"Liegebeest" is a puppet-show about a green snake-type creature with big ears and a bow-tie who only tells lies. He lives in a medieval castle on "Rainbow Island", a small isle that floats on top of a cloud. The castle is populated by a most unusual troop of people. There's Grandma and her two grandkids, Fientje and Willem, who are basically the main characters. There's the annoying Prince Dikkie, a spoiled brat who thinks he can boss everyone around. Froes is the loveable grandfather-figure, a confused scientist whose experiments usually explode. Meneerke is a detective who has an obsession with Liegebeest to capture him and put him in the zoo. Guarding the castle are three incompetent soldiers.
