There are countries in Europe that are often overlooked as natural history film making locations. The series selects four countries with outstanding natural beauty and a staggering wealth of fascinating wildlife.
There is no Next Episode of Hidden Wonders of Europe planned.
S1E2 - Iberia
The parched lands of the Iberian Peninsula give rise to snow-covered peaks, expanses of rare cork oak, and Europe's only fog forest. Unique habitats, where species found nowhere else on earth fight for survival. Male Iberian Ibex face-off over females, a whiskered tern chick braves predator-infested waters, and settling the score for the Macaques of Gibraltar calls for kidnap.

S1E3 - Poland
Europe's ancient landscapes have virtually disappeared, but some stretches remain. A rich mosaic of habitats still cover the country of Poland. Lush forests, vast lowlands and mountain peaks all team with life. But the wildlife here has to fight to survive. Sea eagles battle over breakfast, seasoned hunters adapt to extreme conditions, and a crafty caterpillar pulls off the ultimate heist.

S1E4 - Greece
Few of Europe's countries boast the wide and wondrous variety of animals found in Greece. Its mainland is dubbed the 'Serengeti of Europe', while the coast is home to Europe's largest marine reserve. Greece is a land brimming with natural treasures. Hidden hunters feast on migrating birds, a scorpion searches for his soulmate, and young seal pups venture out into the unknown.
