The mountain passes of Norway are some of the most dangerous roads in all of Europe.And when winter hits, the transport roads turn into treacherous bobsleigh tracks with trucks and cars skidding and sliding everywhere, blocking vital trade routes and in extreme cases, causing fatal accidents.But never fear, up and down Norway there are brigades of brave rescue workers, who work around the clock to keep the roads safe and open.It takes a special breed of men to pull off the perfect Ice Road Rescue...from a driver smuggling nappies (of all things!) out of Norway, to a truck in trouble full of fresh fish threatening to go bad – the rescue teams of Norway have their work cut out in this nail-biting series!

S8E6 - The road is closed!
Bjørn and Thord work together to save a Swedish truck that slid into the ditch just 200 meters from its destination. It has a heavy load of steel, and it could be a disaster if it slides down the steep hillside. In the north, Jo Roger tries to salvage a new mower, but he is pissed off when the impatient driver delays the salvage and puts the crew at risk.

S8E7 - Hardly and hardly
A stray trailer poses a danger on the road, and Thord risks being crushed when he sets about the challenging recovery. The freshman Terje wants to show what he can do, but a seemingly simple mission is not as easy as he thought. In the north, Torstein and Isac try to rescue a milk truck that has overturned in the ditch, but the deep snow makes the work difficult.

On a steep hill high above the fjord, Bjørn risks everything to save a tractor that could fall off and take him with it. Thord gets stuck in the mud after a truck drives into a field. In the north, Jo Roger has to rescue an overturned trailer, but the mission can end in disaster when the cable slips.
