Five-part drama series based on the book "De Hongertocht " from M.M.Szekely Lulofs and "The Aceh War" from Paul van 't Veer, which takes place at the time of war against the rebellious Atjeh, part of the Dutch East Indies.
The story is about a patrol of the Dutch Lengkoedjoe outpost which has the task to go to an unknown Muslim area to search for oil. During the expedition the patrol gets lost. Exhausted by lack of food and bloody attacks by the Muslim soldiers they try to return to their camp.
