A female lawyer. Anne Meara the comedienne, the female half of the Stiller-Meara team, plays a dynamic trial lawyer. Kate McShane has an Irish father and five older brothers, and she is aided by family members including a Jesuit priest (a former cop who does the legwork) and university law professor also helps out (played by Charles Haid). Kate McShane was created, written and produced by E. Jack Neuman, who has created or developed series like Dr Kildare, Mr Novak and Sam Benedict.
