Margaret Colin, daughter of a New York cop, plays the daughter of a New York cop in her latest television series, "Leg Work." An assistant district attorney who has become a private eye in this CBS series.
Her character, Claire McCarron, is the daughter of a New York City detective. She grew up wanting to be like her father, but he made her promise not to become a cop. She has a brother who's a lieutenant in the police public information office.Clark has a sense of humor about her situation. She has very little self-pity about her financial situation.
Like Jim Rockford in "The Rockford Files," Claire McCarron has trouble collecting her fees from her clients. She also has a penchant for living beyond her means. She does a juggling act with her finances. But somehow she makes it work. Her car gets towed, her credit cards get ripped, she has to take a roommate to pay the rent.
Claire drives a Porsche, not exactly a vehicle for a struggling young person.
Margaret Colin, an attractive but not glamorous actress, stars as Claire McCarron, a private investigator who has no head for business but unlimited energy for the job. The daughter of a cop, she has a brother Fred(Patrick James Clarke), who never wanted to be a cop but is one, while she always wanted to be a cop and isn't — the result of individual deathbed promises to their dad.
