Catherine Durrell (Tusse Silberg) living in England is left a large legacy by someone she has never heard of in Norway, and arriving there is warmly welcomed by her benefactors children Anna Marie Jordahl(Susan Gilmore) and her sister Ingrid (Edita Brychta) and Husband Lars (Christopher Scoular), and is attracted to a journalist Anders Bjornson (David Beames).
