S1E3 - Shooter on the High Street
The officers investigate a shooting in West Bromwich in which a driver was hit in the back and shoulder and quickly realise that this was a targeted attack. The detectives' only lead is the suspects' vehicle and the hunt begins as the team gathers hundreds of hours of CCTV, tracking the car across the city, painstakingly mapping its movements before and after the shooting.

S1E4 - Ransom
Just after midnight on a residential street in Alum Rock, Birmingham, a red Mercedes is boxed in by two cars and six men armed with machetes swarm the vehicle. Two passengers escape with serious injuries, but the driver is dragged out, beaten and bundled into the boot of a black Volkswagen Passat. West Midlands Police's Major Crime Team 1, led by DI Francis Nock, must reconstruct the attack from the evidence left behind, and the case darkens when footage shows the kidnappers forcing their bloodied captive into a nearby property while searching for something hidden there.
