Masayang tanghali bayan

“Masayang tanghali bayan” which translates in English to “Happy Noon Everybody” was a comedy, variety game show that aired on the ABS-CBN network in the Philippines. The series was unique in that it aired 6 days a week as opposed to most weekday shows that air only 5 days a week. It ran for 1 hour and 30 minutes on Monday through Friday and on Saturday it ran for 2 hours and 30 minutes. The series aired at Noon and over its’ 6 seasons it had many different hosts, however the original hosts included Roderick Paulate, Amy Perez, Randy Santiago, John Estrada and Willie Revillame. Even though this series was mostly a music variety type show it had a small game show segment titled “Pera o Bayong” where someone could win as much as 1,000,000 pesos or a showcase full of prizes. The series began as “Magandang Tanghali Bayan” but on 2 February 2003 it was renamed to “Masayang Tanghali Bayan” it also had the title of “MTB: Ang Saya Saya” at one time as well.
