Music On Ice

“Music On Ice” was a weekly music variety show seen on NBC TV. The series debuted on 8 May 1960 as a 60-minute long Sunday night entertainment show. The Melding of a musical variety hour with ice show in a weekly series was very unique. Not all the numbers in the series were performed on the ice, but there were a number of ice-skating features in each program. Johnny Desmond was the host, the Skip Jacks were the regular vocalists and the Dancing Blades’ provided regular precision group skating. Guest singers and ice performers were on each show.
