O ztracené lásce

A fairy-tale series of nine parts, based on a book by Eva Hudeckova, is intended for the whole family.
The series narrates an emotional, dramatic story of a girl living in a world full of human envy, anger, scorn and hatred.

Though unloved and scorned, the girl sets out for a struggle against evil, in order to free a prince held in prison, although her fate puts the hardest obstacles in her way. Both in the human world and in the realm of fairy-tales, she often finds herself in mortal danger, while sacrificing herself for the others. In the end, she finds out that „the prince of hers“ has always been staying next to her.

The dramatic life story is interwoven with uncommon fairy-tale elements and figures of imagination. It is the fairy-tale figures and the factual background that create the genuine artistic scenery making an integral part of the final form of the fairy-tale. A promise of the story´s success with the audiences may also be the extraordinary cast with a number of outstanding Czech, Slovak and Polish actors.

Most of the story takes place in a traditional country where man and nature have not grown that distant from each other, so far. The poetic background of the country is being depicted by means of elements of the traditional holidays (Christmas, Easter, All Souls Day, Corpus Christi, etc.). The stories have been taken in the picturesque corners of nature situated mainly in the North-Eastern Bohemia - in the community of Vesec u Sobotky, in the open-air museums of folk architecture in Prerov nad Labem and Trebiz u Slaneho, in the castles of Kost and Pernstejn, in the chateau of Telc and in the small town of Utery.
