Over Time

Kasahara Natsuki takes a break from her job as a hairdresser in Tokyo and goes to Sapporo for New Year's Eve 2000. When she finds herself locked out of her hotel room, she meets Kaede Soichirou, a newspaper photographer. She likes him, but considers the meeting a chance encounter and doesn't get his name.

Returning to Tokyo, Natsuki decides to go to a matchmaking meeting to try to find a husband. Much to her suprise, Kaede Soichirou arrives with the man she is supposed to meet. When the supposed date turns into a disaster, Natsuki leaves quickly, but Soichirou goes after her to cheer her up. Once again, they part ways without exchanging personal information.

When Natsuki arrives home, her roommate Haruko informs Natsuki that Haruko's brother has been transferred to ta newspaper in Tokyo and will be staying with them. To Natsuki's suprise, Haruko's brother turns out to be Soichirou.
