The Ozark Jubilee was the first nationally broadcast television show featuring country music. Top country musicians of the day performed live during the broadcast and the show popularized the term "country music" replacing "hillbilly music" as the term used for the genre. In 1957, the show was renamed Country Music Jubliee. The title changed again in 1958 to Jubilee USA.
The shows originated from Columbia, Missouri and, later, Springfield, Missouri. Presently, the name is used for live shows in Branson, Missouri.
