S2026E16 - Scams, Lies and AI

Cute, funny, and sometimes surreal, AI-generated videos are flooding our social media feeds, but behind the dancing dogs and talking fruit lies a far darker world. In this Panorama investigation, reporter Marianna Spring explores how AI slop is shaping what we see, what we believe and who we can trust. From scam adverts and cloned voices to deepfake fraud, political manipulation and racially charged disinformation, the programme reveals how cheap and easily available AI tools are being weaponised. We ask, in the age of artificial intelligence, will seeing ever be believing again?

Air Date: 15 May 2026 13:30 (CDT)

S2026E17 - The Darkside of Married at First Sight

Married at First Sight UK is one of Channel 4's biggest shows, in which complete strangers marry in a mock-wedding and cameras follow what happens next. Panorama investigates allegations that raise serious concerns that welfare procedures on the reality show have failed contributors, leaving them at risk of harm.

Noor Nanji speaks to three women who allege sexual misconduct by their former on-screen husbands. Two of the women say they were sexually assaulted. The men deny all the allegations against them, and both Channel 4 and CPL - the independent production company that makes the series - say the welfare protocols are robust and comprehensive.

Following this Panorama investigation, Channel 4 has announced an external review into contributor welfare and has removed all previous seasons of MAFS UK.

S2026E18 - Maternity Failures: The Fight for Justice

As families demand answers for failures in maternity services, Panorama investigates how systemic neglect, inadequate staffing and a reluctance to learn from mistakes have led to heartbreak.
