In this new series, Paul Hollywood opens up his personal cookbook to share his favourite recipes from a lifetime of baking. Following Paul from his early life in Merseyside, to his career in five star hotels, to becoming a judge on The Great British Bake Off, the show contains previously unseen audition footage; sneak peeks behind the scenes of the Bake Off tent; guest slots from Bake Off stars Noel Fielding, Sandi Toksvig and Prue Leith; ex-GBBO bakers Val and Selasi; and appearances from some of the friends and family who mean the most to Paul today. In each episode, Paul shares four simple baking recipes.

S1E2 - Ginger Biscuits, Baps & Shortbread

Paul Hollywood returns to his roots in Merseyside to reminisce with family about where his love of baking began. He visits his mum at the house he grew up in and recreates the first thing he ever baked: ginger biscuits. He goes back to school to make a school-dinner classic - coconut tray bake. Paul also returns to his old church and bakes millionaire's shortbread with salted caramel for the congregation. And he shares his baker dad's recipe for floury baps - still the best bread he's ever tasted.

S1E3 - Pork Pie, Donuts & Danish Pastries

This time, Paul Hollywood looks back at his early career: from an apprentice baker in his dad's bakeries to working at the five star stately home, Cliveden House Hotel, where he cooked for the Queen Mother. On the menu this time, fresh fruit donuts and British-raised pork pie. Paul returns home to Merseyside to meet up with his oldest and closest friends. He also joins the nightshift at the prestigious Chester Grosvenor - the hotel where he got his big break - and bakes exquisite seasonal Danish pastries.

S1E4 - Cyprus, Baklava & Village Bread

Paul shares his favourite Mediterranean recipes on a trip to Cyprus, where he spent six years living and working. In Paphos, he's reunited with a Cypriot baker friend and together they prepare a classic ham and cheese croissant. He also makes a baklava with another old friend and a tray of celebratory spanikopita for a sunset gathering. Later, Paul recalls his first appearance on TV and bakes a Cypriot village bread using a traditional village oven.
