Politiets Indsatsstyrke

Politiets Indsatsstyrke (Danish, Police Action Force) or P.I.S. is a Danish television series.

The show follows a "SWAT-team", where the star is action leader John Schmidt. The Action Force also includes tactics leader Bjarne Fromberg, Niels-Christian 'NC' Bonnevie and Sebastian Dvorski.

The P.I.S.'s main assignment is to make sure there is peace and order in the streets. As the saying of John Schmidt is that it is "more important than coming home to eat potatoes and gravy". Next come the previews of the day's mission and actions.

At first glance, one may think (s)he is watching an actual documentary series. But eventually one catches on that the series is a comedy, especially since the performances are typical of "action characters".

The series is shown on TV2 Zulu.

The main character John Schmidt is a temperamental person, who gets the most "cult status" among viewers. The role is played by Jonas Schmidt, who adds this to his résumé which also includes the hippopotamus Dolph in DR2, Bruce in Toyota commercials and Allan Falk Nielsen in the Christmas calendar "Christmas in Outerspace".
