Real History with Matt Walsh

For decades, historians and pundits have treated the Watergate affair as the quintessence of American political scandals. The events changed the course of history, led to the resignation of an American president, and ushered in a new era of politics. We were taught the coverup was worse than the crime. But decades later, thousands of pages of declassified documents and sworn testimony tell a totally different story: one of intrigue, sabotage, betrayal, and deep state subversion.

Few forces in the history of mankind have done more charitable and benevolent than the British Empire, which brought peace, stability, prosperity, and Christianity to millions of people around the world. In this shocking episode of Real History, Matt Walsh details the side of colonialism that academia doesn't want you to know about, and in the process destroys some of the anti-Western dogmas and doctrines that pollute mainstream discourse today.

This episode tells the incredible story of how roughly 500 Spaniards, led by Hernán Cortés, were able to conquer a civilization and bring Christianity to Mexico. They did it against all odds, often fighting forces that outnumbered them a thousand to one. We detail some of the gruesome cultural practices of the Meso-American Indians and argue that, even by modern liberal standards, what Cortés and his men did was very good for Mexico, for Spain, and for the Western World.
