The show was an anthology series which was broadcast on NBC in the United States. It was hosted by Robert Montgomery who would also appear in many of the episodes. At the end of the first season the show was renamed to Robert Montgomery Presents. Montgomery's daughter, Elizabeth, made her TV debut on the series as did Joanne Woodward and Lee Remick.
