Spy Trap

Spy Trap, a weekday thriller serial that showed viewers the hidden and dangerous world of espionage.

The series concerned the "Department", an espionage organisation which was based somewhere between MI5 and MI6, answerable to the Ministry Of Defence and headed by Commander Ryan RN, an expert interrogator.

The program originally appeared four nights a week and was designed as an on-going serial with multi-part storylines flowing into one another as on-going and short-run investigations blended and merged. However, the series changed it's emphasis from long-running pursuits to individual cases which let the writers to explore deeper into the dangers of the field.
