The CEOs of the country's top airlines are calling on Congress to come together to end the partial government shutdown that is causing flight cancellations and long security lines at airports across the United States. The group asked Congressional leaders to move forward on bipartisan proposals to fund the Department of Homeland Security. Tens of millions are facing extreme weather with blizzard warnings in the Midwest and Great Lakes. Some areas are expected to get more than two feet of snow. Meanwhile, the warmer weather down South is likely to fuel damaging winds and potential tornadoes from Michigan to the Gulf Coast. Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei declared this week that the Strait of Hormuz, a gateway to some 20% of the world's oil, would remain closed. Now, with gas prices spiking dramatically in the U.S. since the beginning of the war, the Trump administration is scrambling to defend against Iran's most powerful weapon. The Island of Maui is now bracing for more relentless rain after more than a week of stormy weather has led to the worst flooding Hawaii has seen in 20 years. Thousands of residents have been forced to evacuate as the water reached their homes. As Cuba endures the country's worst energy crisis in decades, residents are struggling to find clean water, food, electricity and proper healthcare. No fuel has entered the country in more than two months amid an oil blockade by the Trump administration. NBC's George Solis reports from inside Havana in this week's Sunday Focus.
