A ten episode mini-series, The Decalogue was one of Krzysztof Kieślowski's most ambitious projects. Each episode covers one of the Ten Commandments, although Kieślowski did say that the stories were only loosely based on the commandments. Two of the episodes, FIVE and SIX, were released internationally in extended versions as the films A Short Film About Killing and A Short Film About Love.
