Two-part mini-series that aired on ABC in 1988 and was based on Robert Ludlum's best-selling novel. The storyline dealt with an amnesiac's struggle to discover his real identity while dodging terrorists and spies. Richard Chamberlain and Jaclyn Smith were the stars. The Bourne Identity would be remade in 2002 as a feature film starring Matt Damon although numerous plot points of the original were changed.
