The Concert for Valor

"The Concert for Valor" will take place live on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Veterans Day: Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT. The event is a first-of-its-kind concert to honor the courage and sacrifice of America's veterans and their families. It will be made available to audiences everywhere via a live stream with social media partner Twitter and powered by Ustream at TheConcertForValor.com.

The concert will feature live music performances interspersed with portraits of veterans. The talent delivering special tributes will be seen in filmed segments profiling vets in vignettes that are drawn from the book “For Love of Country,” by Howard Schultz and Rajiv Chandrasekaran. (Source: HBO)
