The Gerald McBoing Boing Show

This show is about a six year old boy named Gerald McBoing Boing who can speak in sound effects.The world is shown that sometimes Gerald can say more through sounds rather than having a dictionary with all of the words. Too expensive to continue, the show lasted just three months. Reruns were rebroadcast during prime time in 1957. Technically this makes it the first animated prime time television show, but because these were reruns, the honor of first animated, first-run prime time series remains with the far more popular show The Flintstones.
