Triple Sensation

"Triple Sensation", the ground-breaking performing arts reality television series will be back for a second season.

The popular CBC series, hailed as "The talent equivalent of a perfect storm... remarkable," by Liz Nicholls in the Edmonton Journal, showcases a national search for young Canadians aged 16-26 who share a passion for the performing arts and whose combined talent in the acting, singing and dance disciplines is formidable.

The riveting series follows the young performers as they are led through demanding auditions, workshops and a phenomenal Master Class led by industry luminaries. From the cross-country Open Call to the Marquee Panel sessions, where the semi-finalists must prove their talents to a stellar group of internationally acclaimed award-winning theatre legends, every moment is captured in HD video; pristinely displaying the nuances that will ultimately make the difference for one lucky performer. The winner will receive the $150,000 Scholarship for the Performing Arts to attend any theatrical training institution of his/her choice in the world. The second season promises to feature exciting guest stars, an expanded Master Class, and dance segments and emotional and revelatory performers' video diaries.

The selection process will commence with the national Open Call Audition phase in Calgary on February 25nd, and continuing in Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Saskatoon and Winnipeg between February 28rd and March 8th. Open Calls in Eastern Canada begin in Toronto on March 8th, continuing in Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and St. John's between March 15 and March 31.

Call Back and Marquee Panel auditions will be held for residents of Western Canada in Vancouver from March 18th to March 25 and in Eastern Canada from April 9th to April 13th in Toronto.

The dynamic Marquee Panel: multiple Tony, Olivier and Drama Desk nominated director and former Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company Adrian Noble; internationally acclaimed Dora Mavor Moore Award-winning actor Cynthia Dale; choreographer extraordinaire Sergio Trujillo, whose body of work runs the gamut from Tony Award-winning Broadway to such beloved television programs as Will and Grace; legendary Oscar, Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning composer and musical director Marvin Hamlisch and multiple Tony Award-winning theatre impresario Garth Drabinsky will be back for Season II with their effervescent and refreshing approach to encouraging Canada's most promising young talents.
