Walking The Bible

This PBS documentary series explores the parallels between religion, geography, and the emotional issues of our time. Walking The Bible is based on Bruce Feiler's best selling book WALKING THE BIBLE: A Journey By Land Through The Five Books of Moses. As host, Bruce decribes his perilous, 10,000-mile journey retracing the greatest stories ever told through the deserts of the Middle East.

The book was hailed as an "instant classic" by the Washington Post and "thoughtful, informed, and perceptive" by The New York Times. Named one of the best books of the year by the Los Angeles Times, it spent more than a year on the New York Times bestseller list, has been translated into fifteen languages, and will be the subject of an upcoming children's book. In the PBS series, Bruce goes back to those places so vividly described in the book and meets the people who live there today, asking them what they know and believe about the greatest stories of the Bible.
