The final night gives Matt and Molly the chance to show off Matt's premium culinary skills in the kitchen at the Shepherd and Dog.

The brainy quiz returns - but this time host Alexander Armstrong is joined by co-host Gabby Logan. As always, contestants try to score as few points as possible by plumbing the depths of their general knowledge to come up with the answers no-one else could think of.

The team fly the flag for King and country with one of their most luxurious purchases to date - a 1981 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit. A classy car deserves a classy restorer so it was cosseted down to Buckinghamshire and placed into the delicate hands of the Hiller Hill team.

The team also opt for one of the cheapest modes of transportation, a Honda C70. This one comes with a rare registration plate – will it make them some extra cash when it comes to auction?

At the luxury resort, the remaining pairs must attempt to search for the cash case and avoid the dreaded Early Checkout. Alliances are formed and suspicions grow about who is hiding the fortune. Plus, a surprising pair are given the Early Checkout card and face a premature exit unless they can offload it.

As the semi-finals continue, it's down to the remaining six amateurs to stave off the competition.

For the chance to be part of a truly wild experience, the contestants will first need to impress John and Gregg with a dish that turns on the theatrics. It must sing creativity, magic and sparkle, and invoke memories long after the last bite. With the standard of competition so high, their dishes should be real showstoppers, leaving the judges with a problem on their hands. For one, the show will be over as the curtain falls on their time in the competition.

The show goes on for the remaining five as they are whisked off to Buckinghamshire, home to an ancient forest which will provide the stunning backdrop for a truly extreme challenge. The amateurs will be cooking at Nomadic – a wilderness dining experience where they will be at the mercy of the elements. A table will be set for a special dinner hosted by a guest who knows a thing or two about the outdoors – bush-craft expert Ray Mears. Some of the world's leading conservationists have been invited to join him for a dinner that will celebrate the wonder of nature and some of the stunning produce found within the forest itself.

The amateurs will rustle up a five-course menu designed by a chef who will be right at home in the forest – Swedish Michelin-starred chef Niklas Ekstedt, who is renowned for delivering modern cuisine that celebrates foraged ingredients, cooked using the most primitive technique of all – live fire. The semi-finalists are about to get a taste of precision cooking in one of the harshest environments yet as they battle flames, heat and smoke in the hope of delivering food that hits Niklas' Michelin standard.

Nobody else will leave the competition, but John and Gregg will be observing closely. The smallest details matter as the temperature soars in the hunt for this year's champion.

In North Middlesex University Hospital, Dr Fahri is running A&E and treats an aggressive patient having a mental health episode. As he is a threat to himself and the community, he must be restrained and admitted to the dedicated mental health department.

In Resus, a patient known to Dr Zoya has been rushed in after having a series of seizures. Concerned that his brain is deprived of oxygen, the team must establish what is causing the seizures, while Volodymyr remains in a critical condition.

Up north in Rotherham, police have brought in a patient who hurt his ankle while fleeing arrest. This patient requires immediate care to determine the damage caused after falling from a 3-metre-high wall.

Back in London, 33-year-old Zagham has been brought in wearing a makeshift splint after falling off a ladder at work. Shockingly, Zagham could see his leg was deformed after the accident and after x-rays, the break is confirmed to be worse than anyone thought, with sharp shards of bone threatening his blood vessels.

In North London, another patient is in police custody. As he is known to be alcohol dependent, his heart palpitations mean that he could be in withdrawal. An urgent assessment of his heart is done, as well as treatment for the potentially lethal terrifying effect of alcohol withdrawal.

Over in majors, elderly dementia patient Avril has fallen at the local hairdressers. Dr John needs to give her a thorough examination to ensure there is not an injury lurking.

In Tunbridge Wells, David has come in with severe abdominal pain. Intense pain in this region suggests he may have a leak in his aorta and Dr Elise is racing to scan for this life-threatening condition. The clock is ticking to diagnose David's condition and save his life.

Alex Polizzi is called to help Lantern Theatre and Cafe in Brighton ran by Daniel and Janette, who have been putting on shows at the fringe venue and studio space for 25 years. Their idea for an expansion to create a hub for local artists and a much-needed income generator has left the owners in debt, so Alex sets to work energising the business to try and avoid closure.
